Who's Your Boss?

“Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.”

Psalms 127:1-2

Whom do you work for: man, money, or God?

When you think about whom you work for, your initial response is: either the person you report to, or the company that provides your income. You seldom think of reporting to God, and of your work being a reflection of Him. As a result, you experience daily stress and frustration in the workplace, and long for a peace that only He can give.

Whom are you trying to please with your current job or career choice? Most workers would say they work to support themselves, and/or their families. However, beyond your financial needs, there are underlying motivations that control the decisions you make concerning employment. These motivations influence everything from what you put up with at work, to the career you choose (or let choose you!).

Instead of working for God, you toil day in and day out working for either MAN or MONEY.
